This is the moment when a man is caught brandishing a ‘machete’ at two cars in Manchester.
The footage, which was captured with a CCTV camera on Nuthurst Road in New Moston, shows a man hitting the rear view mirror of a Range Rover and a Volkswagen Polo while walking down the road.
Greater Manchester Police have said they are investigating the incident.
The owner of one of the cars shared the images with the Manchester Evening News, hoping that the incident, which occurred three weeks ago, will be taken seriously by the police.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, said her daughter’s car was also vandalized, and that they only realized something was wrong when they saw blood on one of the windshields, prompting them to verify its closed TV circuit.
“You can clearly see how big that machete is,” he told the Manchester Evening News.
“Someone had posted on Facebook earlier that day that someone was doing the same thing at Failsworth so he could have walked all that way.”
He added that he has been left up to £ 300 in repairs, while his daughter is facing shelling out £ 400 to repair the damage.
It is the second incident the family has faced in the past three months, after two of their cars were robbed earlier this year.
The man is seen for the first time walking down the street past the house where the family lives.
The man can be clearly seen carrying a weapon of some kind while walking down the road.
