Police urge public not to approach ‘violent’ wanted man missing from East London


Police searching for a wanted man in East London have made an urgent appeal to the public for help in finding him.

Redbridge police need help finding Balasankar Narayanan, who escaped from a care facility in Ilford on Thursday 7th October.

The 35-year-old has ties to London, notably Newham, Greenford, Hammersmith, Highgate and Ilford, according to police.

It is also known to have links to areas in the West Midlands.

In the statement, Detective Inspector Sean Treweek said: “We have conducted extensive investigations to locate this man and those investigations are ongoing.

“Balasankar Narayanan can be violent; if you see him, stay away from him, call the police immediately.”

He is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build.

Members of the public are advised not to approach him, but to call the police at 999 immediately.
