Nintendo’s exclusive Metroid Dread for Switch is now being emulated on PC

Switch exclusive Metroid Dread It’s very much the game of the moment, but it seems some people aren’t even playing this new release on Nintendo hardware. What Featured by the folks at PC Gamer, certain people are already running this title on the open source Switch emulators Yuzu and Ryujinx, which increases the resolution to 4K and unlocks the frame rate.

A YouTube channel has uploaded a 10 minute “Yuzu emulator performance test” video (that we will not share here): shows Dread running on a PC with a 6GB GTX 1060, an Intel Core i5-8400 processor, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM.

As impressive as this title looks on PC, for Nintendo, it’s probably quite worrying that this happened in just a few days (you may want to review your anti-piracy measures). Of course, if you want to show your support for Samus’ new release, the best way to go is to go out and buy a copy of Metroid Dread for Switch.
