British jam maker Duerr’s is celebrating its 140th anniversary by transforming its most beloved Manchester jam into a beer.
Manchester-based business has partnered with Salford Brewery SEVEN BRO7HERS
BREWING CO to create their first Jam beer. Duerr’s has been perfecting the art of
preserving since 1881 and is turning 140 years in business this year with the launch of a
Limited edition Manchester Mermalade beer in celebration of the city.
The two Manchester-based and family-owned companies have teamed up to create a
unique Marmalade West Coast IPA, now available online and in SEVEN BRO7HERS beer
houses in Manchester.
Taking in the beloved spicy, fruity and slightly sweet flavors of Duerr’s iconic Manchester
Jam, the brewing experts at SEVEN BRO7HERS have created deliciously morish
Jam beer that packs a punch.

The beer contains specially selected hops and malted barley, carefully combined with spicy,
tasty and tempting Manchester jam from Duerr that has resulted in a brilliant hoppy beer
which is classically bitter with a piney, resinous and citrusy aroma. At 5% ABV, the subtly sweet beer boasts an orange hue, the perfect fall drink to enjoy as the night progresses.
