Zach LaVine left Friday’s game against the Warriors early in the first quarter with a left knee injury, and it was quickly announced that he would not return.
LaVine went back into the tunnel after deliberately making a mistake to stop the game. It is unclear when he injured himself, but he appeared to land a little awkwardly on an offensive rebound less than a minute before leaving the match.
He left the field on his own and finished with just one rebound and one turnover in four minutes with no shots.
LaVine tore the ACL in his left knee in 2017 when he was a member of the Timberwolves. He was traded to the Bulls the following summer. He came in on Friday with an average of 25.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game this season.
